An apology

I want to say that I am sorry for anybody who has had to deal with the IcE to NIcE split up. Aegis has created a lot more drama than there has needed to be and a lot of you have had to witness the arguments and fights through the forums. For those that have only caught parts and want the cliff notes here they are.

- Aegis "finds out" one of our members is lovable (despite him actually posting in his/her coming out thread months earlier and us continually referencing his orientation in normal conversation).
- Aegis proceeds to make it very clear that homos are not allowed in IcE, going as far as to say that our member was not a person. Somebody that everybody had been friends with for a year. Screenshots of the diatribes are around on the internet they are pretty harsh.
- A couple very admirable IcE members immediately leave once the arguments escalate. The rest uneasily stay in for various reasons. To keep it short I will just say that NOBODY took Aegis' side on this.
- I spend a long night with Jowy getting on Aegis' webhost to backup the rakionleague site. I had stepped down already but knew what Aegis was capable of when in a bad mood and I refused to let my months of work be destroyed. It was obvious at this point that IcE was falling apart and I needed to be prepared.
- Aegis then calls the Rakion clan "trivial" and (paraphrasing) says that he doesn't care if we all leave.
-So we do. He asked anybody who was leaving to message him so he could take off forum permissions. I personally sent a very short message along the lines of "I am leaving the clan."
- A couple members stay in slight contact with him to chat every once in awile. One tries to explain why everybody left, only to get cussed out and banned from the Vent.
- All of us genuinely feel bad about everything and some have tried to talk to Aegis about this, only to be cussed out and banned/blocked. Aegis will always think that we are patronizing him but that's not true at all. He might be the toughest armyman/karateman in the world, but nobody would want to people they hang out with everyday to one day no longer be there.
- So about 3 or so weeks pass and we all assume that we can move on. Nope! He all of a sudden threatens legal action against us for our clan name, threatens to take shut rakionleague down (as much as he could because jowy already had the files), and threatens to ban me in planetrakion unless I changed my signature. I did change it but I was banned anyways (I took his URL out and changed IcE to NIcE just as he asked). And we changed our clan name as best we could (took out all mentions of inner circle elite). We were as compromising as we could possibly be given his petty demands and it did nothing to appease him.

So now here we are in the present day. At some point Chris you will read this post and I hope you can see this from my point of view. We were friends for over a year and even shared a hotel room for a night Wink

. For a Vanguard convention people there was no buttsex! But now I want you to leave me alone. I can sense your anger and it is tearing me up inside. We had a friendship that dissolved, but I am not your enemy. I have been trying my best to put IcE behind me, yet you keep popping up and making my life difficult.

I, and all of nice, have done our best to make this a clean break. And yet multiple times I log onto vent and hear from people "I'm so sorry blake..." to which I sigh and respond "I guess Chris posted again somewhere. Is it bad?"

Chris please read this message and just disappear from my life. You are being very cruel to me and I hope it stops.

To the others who got to enjoy this post (as I'm sure some will), I hope you had fun. To the people who have been hurt by all of this drama, I'm sorry. To the people who have had to deal with this drama (mods of forums especially), I'm sorry.

And to a certain somebody - Thank you. I'm sure 1/2 of IcE was in the process of just quitting the game entirely, and the other 1/2 would have dispersed into other clans. But you kept us together.

hopefully the chronicles of IcE can finally be shelved and forgotten soon.

and wishfully, maybe all this drama period can stop. but unfortunately, rakions community will be stricken by drama again and again, if not the process of setting the league, then it'll be a clan break up, if not that, than perhaps hacking and abusing, and if not that, it'll be another .org vs pr episode.

but perhaps thats what keeps us interested, not the game but the drama that follows it.

Since this is a serious matter, I can replace your siggs at pr (lol im a sig person who enjoys a lot of intercourse, you dont have to use it if you don't like it). I really can't understand aegy though, hes really different from most people I have met.

Every time there's a drama thread we are always told to take it up in PM's if we had problems. I hope I don't see a double standard here.

I'm not going to come here, and rebuttle everything you've said.

All I have to say is, I had no problem with you all leaving, and starting a new guild.

I did have a problem though, with you not having enough respect for my privacy, and giving my CPANEL password to a random someone, of which I never gave you access anyway.

And I did mind the fact that you couldn't just leave and break off, and that you had to shit on my face, with your scribbled-modified siggy, and your new guild name.

Such simplistic shit. You make it sound like I've been unreasonable.

By making the team name Nice, you have not put IcE behind you. How about you change your team name, instead of saying, "no, because you don't own it", and stop pushing my f'ing buttons. Its not that difficult a concept.

Btw, I'm sure you know very well that this isn't going to sit very well with me, and that I'm not going to "disappear" from your life. I haven't asked for much. I just asked for some f'ing decency and some class, and for you to change your team name. You make it sound like I've been knocking down your door. How about YOU put things in perspective.
