The Rakion League Rulebook. Fifth Edition
1. Introduction
--1.1. The Rakion League is a North American league
----1.1.1 League will allow North American clans to have players from other countries pending an in-game Lag test from the Rakion League team
--1.2. The official website is http://www.rakionleague.com
--1.3. To contact league officials please use the following email address admin@rakionleague.com
--1.4. The goal of this league is to embrace the competitive Rakion community and create our own system for interacting with each other
2. Participant Responsibilities
--2.1. Admin
----2.1.1. An Administrator of the Rakion League.
------2.1.1.1. In charge of all official duties including, but not limited to, enforcing rules, settling conflicts, and making arbitrary decisions for the betterment of the overall league.
------2.1.1.2. Also holds a permanent seat of the Rakion League Ruling Committee.
--2.2. Forum Moderator
----2.2.1. A Forum Moderator is responsible for the following
------2.2.1.1. Maintaining and preserving the forum in a clean and professional manner.
------2.2.1.2. Helping to enforce the rules and settling conflicts of the league when called to.
--2.3. Game Moderator
----2.3.1. A Game Moderator is elected by the community to perform his/her job for one season. Game Moderators are also responsible for the following
------2.3.1.1. Enforcing the rules and settling conflicts of the league during the season.
------2.3.1.2. Holding a seat of the Rakion League Ruling Committee and performing its necessary duties.
--2.4. Clan Manager
----2.4.1. Each Clan will select one Clan Manager and one Back-up whose duties will include the following
------2.4.1.1. Scheduling each match with opposing Clan Manager. Compromises will have to be made and it is the Clan Manager’s responsibility to give the Administrators a Final Match Time 24 hours and a Lineup 45 minutes before.
------2.4.1.2. Communicating with the opposing Clan Managers about any problems or concerns that could occur in the match. Lack of communication may result in penalty points.
------2.4.1.2. Ensuring that their clan is in compliance with all league rules and requirements and that all clan members on the Clan Roster are familiar with the league rules.
------2.4.1.3. Any complaints/concerns should be formally made with the Rakion League Team by way of Clan Manager.
--2.5. Player
----2.5.1. All players are required to know the rules of the league. Any violations will result in penalties for their clan.
----2.5.2. Players are not allowed to participate for multiple clans
------2.5.2.1. Players may only be listed on one clan roster at a time
------2.5.2.2. Players CAN NOT play for other clans by logging onto one of their accounts.
------2.5.2.3. Any Violators will be severely punished. Don't make us institute an IP check policy before clan wars. We really don't want to have to do that.
--2.6. Rakion League Ruling Committee
----2.6.1. The Committee is responsible for overseeing the League and to enforce the rules and policies of the Rakion League.
---2.6.2. The Committee will consist of the following
------2.6.2.1. 3 Administrators which hold permanent seats.
------2.6.2.2. 4 Game Moderators which are elected by the community.
----2.6.3. The Committee will be called upon if a decision cannot be made between the clan and their managers.
------2.6.3.1. If an agreement cannot be made between the two clan managers prior to the Clan War, the clan war will be postponed until a decision is made.
3. Season Structure
--3.1. Pre-Season Qualifiers
----3.1.1. Prior to each season, teams will have to undergo a qualifier process. Format is set to change but will always test the following attributes.
------3.1.1.1. Commitment
------3.1.1.2. Skill level
------3.1.1.3. Attitude
--3.2. Regular Season
----3.2.1. Clans will participate in an open season format.
------3.2.1.1. Regular Season ranking will be determined by the following, in order of priority
--------3.2.1.1.1. Points
--------3.2.1.1.2. Round Win %
----------3.2.1.1.2.1. A 10 point Clan that wins 90% of its rounds ranks ahead of a 10 point Clan that wins 80%
------3.2.1.2. Clans are award 3 points for a win and will lose 1 point for a loss.
------3.2.1.2.1 Teams may not play the same team more than 3 times.
----3.2.2. Clan War
------3.4.2. One Clan War is defined as the pre-game (includes waiting room), game, and post-game. It consists of the following
--------3.4.2.1. 6v6 Golem Wars.
--------3.4.2.2. 13 rounds with a max of 5 minutes a round.
--------3.4.2.3. Non-basic Mode.
--------3.4.2.4. No cells allowed. If a screenshot is taken of another team’s cell, the offender’s clan will automatically DQ the remaining rounds in the game.
--------3.4.2.5. No using Chaos on Golems (Gold or Master), with or without the golden sword.
--------3.4.2.6. No restrictions on attacking Gold or Master Golems, with the exception of rule 3.4.2.5.
--------3.4.2.7. No class restrictions.
--------3.4.2.8. Map will be chosen by the Rakion League staff week by week and posted in the Schedule and Standings forum.
------3.4.3. First team to win 7 rounds on a map will win the clan war.
------3.4.4. Substitutions
--------3.4.4.1. Clans are allowed one substitution per match.
--3.3. Playoffs
----3.3.1. Playoffs follow the conclusion of the regular season
----3.3.2. Playoff format to be determined based on amount of clans participating at the middle of the season.
------3.3.2.1. Seeding is determined through the Regular Season Ranking.
------3.3.2.2. Format subject to change if there are unforeseen circumstances.
----3.3.3. Teams enter a single elimination tournament based upon Regular Season ranking.
----3.3.4. Playoff Match
------3.3.4.1. One Playoff match is defined as the pre-game (includes waiting room), game, and post-game. It consists of the following
--------3.3.4.1.1. 3 games of 6v6 Golem Wars.
--------3.3.4.1.2. 11 rounds with a max of 5 minutes a round.
--------3.3.4.1.3. Non-basic Mode.
--------3.3.4.1.4. No cells allowed. If a screenshot is taken of another team’s cell, the offender’s clan will automatically DQ the remaining rounds in the game.
--------3.3.4.1.5. No using Chaos on Golems (Gold or Master), with or without the golden sword.
--------3.3.4.1.6. No restrictions on attacking Gold or Master Golems, with the exception of rule 3.3.4.1.5.
--------3.3.4.1.7. No class restrictions.
------3.3.4.2. First team to win 6 rounds on a map will win the game.
------3.3.4.3. Losing team of game will pick next map.
------3.3.4.4. First team to win 2 of 3 games will win the playoff match and advance to the next round.
------3.3.4.5. Substitutions
--------3.3.4.5.1. Clans are allowed one substitution per game.
4. Scheduling
--4.1. Clan Managers are responsible for scheduling clan wars.
--4.2. Clan Managers are responsible for communicating with other clan managers if there are any problems/concerns prior to the match.
--4.3. Clan profiles should contain complete contact information for a Clan Manager and a backup.
--4.4. All Managers are required to leave Rakion in-game name, E-mail address, and either an AIM, MSN, or Yahoo screen name.
5. Lineup
--5.1. Lineup must consist of at least 5 people. If this is the case a member of the Rakion League Team will act as placeholder for the 6th slot and is free for the other team to kill each round.
--5.3. Each clan is allowed one substitution a week. At any point before or during the Clan War each clan is allowed to replace one player in their lineup with another from their roster.
6. Roster
--6.1. Each clan must submit a clan roster at the beginning of each season with the following information:
----6.1.1. Clan Name
----6.1.2. Clan Website/Forum (if any)
----6.1.3. Clan Manager’s and Backup’s Name and Contact Info
----6.1.4. List of the Clan’s players including class
------6.1.4.1. All players on roster must have in-game tag
------6.1.4.2. Players may use multiple characters from the same account as long as they are listed on the RakionLeague.com roster.
------6.1.4.3. If a player has multiple accounts participating, that account’s characters must also be on the roster.
--------6.1.4.3.1. Keep in mind that only that player may play that account. Violators will be severely punished.
----6.1.5. Clan Accomplishments/Brief History (Creating a 10 man pyramid doesn’t count).
--6.2 Roster is limited to North American players with a minimum of 6 players and maximum 15 players.
----6.2.1 North American rule can be broken pending lag test.
--6.3 Roster changes are allowed up to the final week of regular season pending Administrator approval.
----6.3.1 Approved changes will not go into effect until 7 days after Admin team received the original notification.
7. Disconnects/Crashes/Connection Issues
--7.1. If a player disconnects or crashes a Clan has 3 options
----7.1.1. Get player back into the game ASAP
----7.1.2. Use a Substitution and get another player in
----7.1.3. Find a placeholder to be a free kill each round
--7.2. If a Clan is unable to do one of those 3 then they will DQ the remaining rounds of the clan war.
--7.3. The 6 man team is free to continue playing and if any of their players get switched it is their responsibility to go waiting room and switch back.
--7.4. Connection Issues
----7.1.1. If there are problems, refer to this thread to solve the problem.
----7.1.2. If problems persist, the following will occur
------7.1.2.1. If three or more players cannot connect to a single player, that player must sit out. Otherwise, all must sit out.
--------7.1.2.1.1 If that occurs, both team’s substitutions will be used. Then both clans may substitute other players in from their roster until neither clan has connection issues.
------7.1.2.2. Only players with connection issues can be switched. Those with good connection with others cannot be changed.
8. Matches
--8.1. Matches must be done in a timely manner. No team is expected to stay longer than a reasonable amount of time to complete the match.
--8.2. Any team that stalls the game may be subject to penalty points and/or DQ from the match.
--8.3. Any disputes, unless absolutely necessary to handle immediately, must not be addressed until after the match has finished, preventing any unnecessary stalling.
9. Penalty Points
--9.1. A clan will receive penalty points for violating any rules
--9.2. Penalty points affect ranking and will also be used in consideration of a Clan’s removal
--9.3. Each penalty point will reduce a Clan’s win % by 2% at the end of the season
--9.4. Every 5 Penalty Points will subtract 1 Win from a clan’s total at the end of the season.
--9.5. Penalty points can be assigned for, but are not limited to:
----9.5.1. Rudeness or Bad Attitudes? 1 point + Suspension of 1 Clan War/Match for offender(s)
----9.5.2. Playing an ineligible player? 3 points + DQ for the match
----9.5.3. Summoning in a no-summon game? 2 points + DQ for the match + Suspension of 1 Clan War/Match for offender(s)
----9.5.4. Cheating/Hacking? 5 points + Permanent ban for player I.D.
----9.5.5. Lying to the Rakion League Team? 3 points
----9.5.6. Missing Screenshot? 1 point
----9.5.7. Failure to communicate? 3 points
----9.5.8. Deliberate Stalling Pre-Game? 3 points
--9.6. Although there is a list for general punishments, the Rakion League Team and Ruling Committee reserve the right to increase/decrease punishments for the offenders should it be called for.
10. Screenshots
--10.1. Winning Team must take screenshot when they win their 7th round. At this point they have officially won and any remaining rounds played will not count for League Statistics.
--10.2. Do not send screenshots of 9-4 and tell us you won 7-2. The Rakion League Team are not detectives.
11. Reporting Results
--11.1. Results to the matches must be reported by the team manager of the winning team.
----11.1.2. Results include the score of the match and screenshots of the score(s) of the game(s).
--11.2. Reporting must be done through the Rakion League website [http://www.rakionleague.com]
--11.3 Reporting false results will result in penalty points for the offender.
12. Miscellaneous
--12.1. Teams will not be punished for things that are not reported to the League.
--12.2. In most cases Managers are allowed to bend rules as long as both are in agreement.
----12.2.1. For example a clan can agree not to submit a screenshot of an accidentally summoned cell if they choose not to.
--12.3 Rules are the backbones of the league and will be used to settle any disputes, but this is a league by the players for the players foremost. |
