Does anyone ever log on to play?

As the title says, I just dug up my old desktop from the basement that I used to play rakion on, and was considering loggin on.

Is this game completely dead? Are there any private servers?

If you didn't keep your accout "up to date", the game is awful. However, I'm fairly up to date and still get on and play from time to time.

I heard something about Softnyx making a 50/50 server. I wonder if it's true. If max stats were 50/50 I bet a lot could come back to play and have fun.

Not trying to get hopes up, it's just a rumor I heard. You know how rumors are though....however, if it was true, that would be a win for Softnyx I think.

It's amazing to me how loyal you've been to Rakion, Tronn. I believe the first time I saw you in game was around the time I stopped mass remaking characters after they removed the PU requirement for 15+ and before I'd gone down the dark side--aka purchasing my first PU. Then the random day I log on for the first time in nearly 2 years I see you online. Might as well be a game feature at this point! Silliness aside, it's rather impressive how dedicated you've been to it.

It was surprising to see a few names from the past when I logged on. I suppose I don't know how many of them were actually the original players, but either way it was rather unexpected.

Brought back some fond memories. o.O

Haha, well..what can I say... Razz

Maybe it's that I think that some old school player is gonna be on and that will fill me with the nostalgia I often seek. The original days of Rakion still are the best, however...the concept and play style, still today, is unique. With every patch Softnyx releases I sometimes feel it's getting further and further from what the game was, but it hasn't past the tipping point (for me) yet. Remember, I crossed to the "dark side" a long time ago lol, so my account for the most part is still fairly decent to play with the level 30 player with 150/150 stats, +15-+20 enchants, DB..super sick cells..you know the deal xD. It took me a long time (and tons of dough) to get to lvl 99, and I can't let some newb come in and take anything away from me! lol

But for real though, it's easy for me to stay involved. My normal routine after work, dinner, showers..yada yada, is to sit in my living room with the fam and watch some tv before bed. My computer is set up right next to my recliner (the wife just loves this btw :p). So I just log in when they are watching some silly reality show and play a game or two. It never gets old lol.
