You MUST kill the GM golem. Someone feel free to prove me wrong, doubt anyone will.
Not sure if you have to be close, but I used a range smith jump attack.
Master golem can be left alone.
Only the first golem drops anything. If you don't get +/- stat items from it, you aren't getting a helmet either.
It'll tell you if you got it.

i waited for learned to do most of the killing and ran in and stole the golem from him. it worked =D
and why dont my hurricane bracers worka nymore.. all the other elememnts seem too

I know, I log on one day and I'm like WTF WHERE DID MY SEXY PINK RINGS GO---
Anyway..., Angelo and I tested the helms, and they possibly add armor/energy, and no visible attack stats. Speed stats, which are virtually impossible to test, not sure.
