Anyone thinking that the emo/punk stuff that comes out now is legit needs their head checked. It's just as manufactured as pop music right now. And why is every little kid using the term post modern all of the sudden? If you are so post modern please enlighten us on the process of deconstructionism as it relates to online video gaming.
Plus you don't have to be old to like older music asshole. I like some old blues from time to time, such as Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and the like. I'd be 70 or so if I liked them because I heard them on the radio.

Post modern punk refers to the new punk that cant real be called Punk because it lakes simple sound and extremist view. I love punk too but it is stupid if more than 10,000 people like them, sign a contract, or make enough money to eat; they are not punk in the eyes of fans. the its not instead of making up a new name spalush or some shit. Post modern refers to it moving out of small communities and making it main stream so they can have more money and make higher quality(not always a goodthing and not always better quality).
And yes the head liners for emo (Good charllet, Simple plan, and MyChemical romance) do suck, and has become very popular where the word pop comes in... and just because its popular i shouldent like it? Thats some stupid shit.
And the age thing was more of a joke than any thing else...
So be easy fo shessy
