how could you ban someone when you allow a huge signature size in the first place? they havent done anything wrong officially..
you cant ban them for something that they dont know in the first place...

The great thing about the internet is that you can do whatever you want. Everybody knows that you shouldn't make huge signatures (I'm pretty sure somewhere is a post from me saying that signatures need to be kept reasonable), so nobody has any right to complain if they get banned for doing it.
It's common sense and in the EULA everybody signs when they create account you basically waive all rights and acknowledge that this is a private community.
It wouldn't be a permanent ban, but the idea of not putting a limit on sigs is that somebody will show how crafty they are and then get smacked in the face for being a smartass.
