What do you see hacking as?

An: Educational Purpose for RIS Team

or

An: Bad Thing

By educational purpose, i mean by it's better for them to find the flaws early in the game and patch it all, before it gets worse down stream in the game

by bad, i think you know what i mean

if there were no hacks, there'd be more updates.
They had to hold EVERYTHING to halt when there were abundance of hacks.
They also thought of NO EVENTS because of hacks.
IF you keep the developers from patching hacks ( which isn't necessarily flaws ), then the developers will implement more things that players want in the game.

There's a difference between a glitch or a bug in the game which needs to be discovered as soon as possible and a flaw in the coding that can only be taken advantage of by hacking.

The first one can be discovered and used by anybody just by doing whatever it is in game.

The second one can only be discovered and taken advantage of by hackers.

If you are hacking just to find the exploits and then sending into Softnyx then we could view it as "educational". But when you are then using what you find, releasing to the public (or even to a few friends), and taking advantage. That is bad.

Like Joek said if the hack is released to the public softnyx has to stop whatever they are doing and fix it. If the hack is just sent in to softnyx and never used again they can fix it on their own time when it is convenient for them. And when it doesn't interfere with their making the game better.
