Time to reveal what I kept hidden for 3 long years...

Well, only the tip of the iceberg.

Greetings sir and/or madam(s),

My name is Falcon.

Three long years ago, I spent about 36 hours (68 if you count the planning) working on an intricate "forum puzzle" or "e-puzzle," terms I coined and the first of its kind on the entire internet. Everybody knows at times I speak cryptically and imbed hidden messages in my posts. This was all part of the plan or to put it more correctly, puzzle. I also sent a lot of what may have appeared to be bizarre PMs to random people here over the years. All of which are pieces to my e-puzzle. Yes, I secretly took this game to a whole new level. I am insane and proud of it.

This puzzle spans 4 forums: it starts at RL and intertwines with R.biz, PR, and R.org. It's unfortunate that PR got deleted and that R.org most likely died for good. It's also too bad that some of the people I sent PMs to are long gone and you will probably never acquire some vital clues. Fortunately, 38% of the puzzle here at RL should be solvable without the missing links and by my calculations, it would take the average person about 12 really enjoyable hours to complete it. That is, if they manage to uncover the first clue... In its entirely, the puzzle would take about 20-30 hours to fully solve. One reason for the length is that I created a lot of dead-ends so you will need to backtrack a lot. Another is that parts of the puzzle is layered, that is, it requires you to solve 2 or more puzzles simultaneously before you can move on. In other parts, I placed "blackholes" which are puzzles within puzzles within puzzles, requiring you to solve the innermost in order to work yourself out. But what I really like to associate the length to is the fact that I'm sure you would want to savour the pleasure of working this whole thing out!

To this day, no one came close to finishing my masterpiece. Specifically, only 2 people at RakionLeague were even aware that it existed (and that was only because I gave these special people a prod in the right direction via PM). No one outside RL knew. That did give me the benefit of refining the puzzle over the years though, which I did almost meticulously. As of June 2010, I completed the final iteration and my borderline OCD perfectionist attitude was quelled. It was really too bad no one really knew what I was up to...

Alexiel, if I recall correctly. I believe the reasoning behind this is twofold. Firstly, he was one of the few who used to be quite active at multiple Rakion forums, especially at my beloved PlanetRakion. I thought if I mentioned something like this to him he'd publicize my puzzle on my behalf, especially if I explicitly told him not to. A puzzle is made for people to solve, after all! And for me to remain secretive about it and not publicizing it myself just adds to the intrigue and 'WTF' factor! Secondly, although he acts like a dolt online, his IQ is actually through the roof, clocking in at around 138, possibly more. I thought he would be one of the few actually capable of solving my puzzle in its entirety.

Funny thing is that you, Master Shake, actually spoke of the puzzle in at least 2 separate threads here, one of which Anthyny locked. I, of course, acted like you were talking nonsense to cover my tracks. Laughing

The only person who knew something odd was going on, and who I didn't inform about the puzzle, was Homen. To a much lesser extent, Mint was another who was aware of some of the cryptic messages I planted back in 2006-2007, raised some suspicion in the hidden mod forum, but didn't know it was part of something bigger. Perhaps other people knew, but thought the same as Mint and shrugged it off. I guess that if you look at the clues out of place, it seems to be either nonsense if you weren't aware of the puzzle, or dead ends/false positives if you were aware.

(As I type this, I wonder if 1 or 2 clues were deleted. Way back when, a rogue moderator would constantly delete random posts/threads. That was one good reason why I constantly 'spazzed' about accountability in the moderator forum here.)

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey, although in this case, I truly think both are equally, to put it bluntly, awesome. But that's just my opinion. Sorry, but if I reveal anymore it would ruin everything, all my preparation would just go to waste, even creating this thread tore me apart rather deeply, given all the time and lonely nights I invested, an inkling more told would be devastating to my health.

It is my folly that I never bothered to click those links when what you entrusted with me is possibly the greatest mystery ever conceived in the annals of interwebz scavenger hunts; no, "scavenger hunt" is too crude a word to describe what you put so much effort into. The links you provided me no longer function due to PR's collapse, but with 5 minutes of searching here, I think maybe I can shed some light on to this topic.

You had subliminally typed out Suicide in one of your posts that was disguised as a computer problem. Clue AS brought up the question of what your next mission was. Further searching found you hid the word "boobs" in your post. Another was that in 3 days and 3 nights, a hummingbird was to send a message to someone. What is that message? Could that have been your mission?

Or could it have been your cry for help? You have sent me a link to a suicide prevent video before, but I was confused as to why you would send it to me. I had made no signs of wanting to end my life.

In searching for your mission, I found "Boobs". Your porn addiction was quite frightening. 10x the normal appetite for porn compared to the average gamer male. Are you a recluse who had nothing to live for but porn and rakion? No, that can't be it. It is up to you whether you should release more clues. I am not up for this. I cannot be the one that you described the backstreet boy song.
