Tanif, I did not begin flaming you in that topic for a good few pages. Once I realized with absolute certainty that you had no intention of having an actual discussion I simply decided to fight fire with fire. This post and my previous are also not "biting", they simply are how I remember the topic as there was little else of relevance that occurred in it. It's been a while since that topic happened. Perhaps if you read it again you would see the difference in our first few posts.
Vietmai, yes I remember those topics. I do recall you had a habit of giving up relatively quickly, but there were a few that you seemed to hold conviction for. Religion seemed to come up often if I remember right. I even recall when you first pm'd me for help and the PU misunderstanding. I have a very strange memory when it comes to remembering things like that.
Personally, I see no reason to be either entirely serious or silly just because it's the internet. What's so horrible about simply being as you really are? This is me. Likely all too serious in the eyes of most, but rather fond of joking around with friends. Why should the internet have any dramatic impact on that? Where I am is irrelevant to who I am.
Also, as Shelbster has requested, don't allow this to deteriorate into flames.

i used to be all serious and uptight years back whenever i was on the internet. i'd use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and even capitalized all my words. if you look at my posts on r.org when i first joined and my posts nowadays you'd see that they are DRASTICALLY different. guess i just realized that there's no point in trying to be serious over the internet cause its freakin internet. who really cares.

Just wanted to say there is no flame intended here. I'm going to "sliently hate" anyone because I don't know anyone on here well enough to make the judgment if hate them or not.
The opposite of serious would be playful, silly, and trivial. Is the internet not a playful, silly, and trivial place? Maybe i didn't use the "correct" choice of word when I said serious. What I meant was that half of the stuff I say on the internet I don't say in real life. I joke around all the time with my friends but not to the extent that it goes on the internet. Also, since when did my only outlet of fun became the internet? I do consider the internet as an outlet of fun but is it my only one? To answer that question, you'd need to know me in real life and I don't think you do.
Falcon, about my "your kind isn't welcome here" thing...I was alluding to the fact that tronn went onto our forums and said how he remembers why he never comes here. I would never said the "your kind isn't welcome here" if he hadn't said something negative about us in the first place. If had said something like "come to rakionleague and post it because there are more people here" or something like that I would never had said something derogatory at all. |

I wouldn't call what I said "something negative". I said one sentence and it was a true statement. What you guys were doing to that original poster was the insulting and negativeness of that thread. Not what I said. To me, it's kinda ironic that that my light hearted post offended you compared to the posts you guys were directing toward the poster. :p
