planet rakion is gone.
I deleted everyone off the forum and deleted the whole thing.
it was only getting bot traffic and i was getting too much e-mails from it.

I noticed this too (Electric_bug started this trend when he deleted all the posts - a tactic that I would not have employed since I invested so much time into that forum), but I guess that approach was inevitable; PR's fate was sealed when it became futile for us to delete the spam, especially when no one posted and the bots were literally posting HUNDREDS of spam per day.
Do you still have a backup of the old database (before the spam took over)? There was a lot of great posts made there. I'd hate to think it was gone forever.  Also, do you ever plan on opening registration again or is it closed for good?

Haha, and him posting those pics of himself. He private messaged me the new forum he posts at but alas, I cannot view my PMs due to PR being deleted!

I hate spam on forums too.. my guild website for my Perfect World faction has some unrelenting bots so I had to make registration go thru manual approval =( http://www.pw-vendetta.com/vb/

Nope, don't play that game.
I wouldn't do manual registrations because of bots! It's too much of a hassle for both yourself and the members. I'd only do manual if I wanted to make my forums more exclusive. I'm sure there are some nice anti-spam bots for vBulletin. I know I have stumbled across some in the past but I have not installed them yet; try vbulletin.org if you haven't already. Also try updating to vB 4.0, I like it quite a bit.
P.S. I still think you're the owner of Rakiontrade.com, Ryan! In fact, I might go as far and say that I'm 100% sure.

uhm all good points, site is still underway from what i hear. Not a bad layout, even has a fooking tea shop...can't beat that noise.

nope. did not save past posts due to half of it being spams.
ALL has been lost due to inactiveness of the owner and not giving full control to admins.
