Am i the only one that feels this rule is kinda dumb....why are we goleming to prove whos the best clan....im pretty sure all the ppl who can kill the golem in 2 hits(or hav cells that can(and yes i no golems are not allowed)) are completey fine with it...but what are the rest of us suppose to do. Maybe its cus im nub at golem.....but i just feel like a team game should be just that...a team game...anything else is just a distraction. _________________

It's to prove who is the best clan in rakion. Golem killing does take strategy. And since the league is no cell, you cannot just hide behind cells. Believe it or not, I've seen the golem throw so many strange things into the league in matches I've played it isn't funny. I have cost my team a round by going for golem in the past, as well as seen people win the round by golem for their team. Generally however, it takes alot of team strategy to complete the task.
It's not a distraction unless you let it be one, I believe that was the point of what 'tyny was saying. _________________

It may seem stupid at this point, but just wait till you start playing a match. Its pretty different then an all out smash fest like SU.
Dont get me wrong, i like smashing and this is also my first season in the league. But ive had plenty experience in league rule matches and its pretty hard to just go and kill golem without cells or pots. Gotta rely on team mates to defend you |

Keep in mind that league rules never allowed chaos on the golem as well. Now, unless it has been changed again, chaos isn't even allowed. Think about the games you've played that involve golem killing. How often does the golem die to someone without the ability to use cells, pots, or chaos before the opposing team's concentrated assault does them in? In my experience it's quite rare without special methods.
Thus, as others have stated, it still does require an element of teamwork to accomplish that goal and it also requires a certain level of awareness to prevent the opposing team from sneaking by. In the past teams often focused on killing the opposing team as opposed to the golem. Many may still favor that style of play. _________________
