| SE is fear,slow,freeze....the little stat gains that element wrist and shoulders give is not enough to ban them and they don't effect normal game play. I'm still not sure why anyone would have want use fear and slow normaly it just ruins the game |

If ele shoulders/bracers/helmets aren't allowed then I won't be playing.
I'm not gonna spend $40 to replace my ele shoulders/bracers on top of already replacing my body.
Besides, how often do people complain about ele bracers/shoulders/helmet?
NSE in europe never includes those parts. They're really not that different from normal equipment.
And you have to allow ele weapons, the only thing you're doing by not is making it more difficult for people who only have an enchanted ele weapon. There's no chaos so obviously that has no effect. They're already handicapped by using it, at least let them keep their enchants.

Elemental helmet, shoulders, bracers and weapons should be allowed since they do not give out any effects and since it's no chaos so the weapons do nothing.
I'm not being biased as I do not use any elementals and only one person in my clan has elemental shoulders and bracers.

The "Admin" your speaking of lengend is rushing it out, cause we do not wish to spend 10 years discussing everything and by the time we've all agreed and happy, everyone will have lost interest in it.
This league is of course to be ran as a test to see if a League were to ever be possible to ran again at all with current in-game situations. While working out kinks if need be.
But alas, community has spoken, Majority of players believe that SE
is only considered Fear, Slow, Freeze, and Drain. And not the hidden stats that the elemental pieces provide.

I advised the admin to 'rush' it out.
But I also advised many times in the Game Mod forums to have little to no restrictions meaning that I would allow any item, chaos mode, and no pot/cell option.
Thus, what I envisioned was for the league game to start ASAP with minimal rules and restrictions. This allows us to test the waters while at the same time maximizing the number of participants; basically allowing us to have the League rules agreed upon by the majority of clans in minimal time.
To go into a bit more detail: we would go through an iterative process in which we update the league rules after each game until we found the best format for the majority of participants. This idea comes generally from our past mistake in season 4 (5? I forget) of analyzing the rules too closely and wasting many man-hours on a something that didn't even set foot off the ground.
I'm a CIO so I know what I'm sayin'.

Since Special Effects can be split into 3 categories (Offensive, Defensive and Passive), the league is currently only going to ban Offensive and Defensive effects. Elementals (except body and sword) are all passive, but since there's no chaos, then chaos drain isn't a problem, so weapons are allowed as well. |
