Hello,
it's been a while since I posted on this site...
Honestly I am surprised that RL is still up and running. Good job Jowy!

I haven't touched this game in a few years now, how's it like now? New sets new cells? I imagine Softnyx would make this game more and more cash friendly game.

You should load up a game and check it out. A lot has changed. They let the game go toward cash for the most part unfortunately (what am I talking about, I've spent sooo much lol)

The community has shrunken a lot. Nothing like the once 1000+ players every single night causing a need for a second USA/Canada server. Most of the time it is about 200-300 people playing unless there is an event (like now) and in that case we end up with up to 400 players.

Hackers are very common. Faster than Softnyx can do something, hackers create more exploits and hacks that makes things a bit discouraging.

But, all that said..it still is the best game of it's kind and I play the hell out of it. I really believe that the game play and style is unmatched. Nothing comes even close right now as far as I know.

A ton of new items/armors/cells and game options (no pot/cell ftw). I just started again a week or 2 ago after yet another hiatus and I am still overwhelmed by all the new cells. People are talking about blue tauruses, thunder, etc. and I honestly have no idea what the hell they are talking about. -_-

Tronn's right. The community is dwindling all the time, and the proportion of cash-users is growing. A horrid combination. There are some crazy hackers out there right now, the most annoying is mage chaos hack which is no-delay-spraying everyone with missiles in every direction.

I love the PvP aspect though, it never gets old. Well it sorta did until last night for 2 reasons. I broke down and bought my first PU since 2008 - perhaps I was depressed and I wanted to get just one gift albeit from myself and experience what "Christmas" is like but I digress. I bought only one mind you, just for the bonus XP since I was the same level for about 18 months. Secondly, this God by the name of SchwartzePete donated me Gold Cane helmet and body enchanted to 12 for free last night. I never knew the game would be so much fun with BLUE enchants after playing with what many people called 'shit armor' for exactly 4 years. All those with full +15 sets are INCREDIBLY lucky, heck I can't even imagine what full +12 would be like.

Rakion is fun but it just needs better management.

I sold 123G to someone for $40 maybe two years ago? Did anyone see that character at all?

I remember still have a few alternate accounts for rakion but I'd have to try and look it up... Sad

What types of game modes are still up now? I remember there was only SH/NC and covalt top games and it was hella fun lol.

I still don't get how enchanting to a high level is smart, but anyways...

Covalt top was fun as heck but I rarely see this game made if at all. o.o

SHNC is still popular as well as SUNC, SM (stay middle), and SD (stay down). I often play the last three. There are also a lot more player-specific games too (i.e. NTurtles/Kings/50+/etc. - this signifies no turtles, kings, and players above level 50).

Ladder mode is somewhat motivating to play (and it doesn't require cash) because you can only level up there through playing, not through silly stage resets.

Stay ups are a little scarcer now, and the ones that are open aren't too competitive in my mind. The top of the top still scrimmage though, and despite any conflicts, I think it's agreed that scrims are more entertaining due to competition.
