490 = 570
590 = 600
so you're score is now 1170/1600.
that's how they compare the old SAT to the new ones but you cannot convert your score to the 2400 one cause u didn't take the writing part.

wait they change it to 2400 now?
if i remember correctly mine was
math 800
english 630
no clue about the essay 8-9 i think
my tips would be same as supa's.Dont overdo it,shit is easy.just the reading will make u wanna sleep.i was lucky i had my friend next to me cos i was about to sleep on the last 2 sections(both of them reading).
And dont take it with fear,just go there like u dont give a damn.
you can retake it anyway. |

lol well the format is
3 reading
3 math
2 writing
and 1 essay
oh and 1 experimental.
writing is always the last section and the essay is always the first.
and i will not be scared when i take it.
i'll try not to. that would distract me. i think i've taken enough practice tests for my confidence at least haha.
oh and i didn't know there was an essay back then

i took mines what 3-4 years ago?there was an essay but they never counted as a separate score but it did help increase ur reading score i think.
whats the experimental part? |

uhhh.
the experimental section is a survey.
they might use the questions in the experimental section in future sats
it's any of the three subjects.
like if you have 4 math sections then one of them is the experimental.
oh and they disregard the experimental section from your score.

i believe it does.
when i took my sat i bought the answers booklet for it and there was a part that explained the way they graded it.If i recall correctly they had this table where they explained the score.If u had 30 correct answers in the reading part you had different scores depending on the writing score.
but again i took it before the change so i dunno how it is now. |

i mean it would make sense that the essay is in the writing part cause you... write... the essay.
