Help Please

I recently purchase a new computer and installed ventrillo on it, all was working fine untill one day it started freezing up my computer. now whenever i press the push to talk button or someone in the same channel as me tries to talk it just freezes my computer and i am unable to do anything until i manually restart it. Has anybody ever had this problem before or have any ideas on how to fix it? i already tried reinstaling both the 64 and 32 bit versions. any help would be apreciated. thanks

odd i never had that problem in windows 7 :S...try installing it in compatibility mode for vista and run as admin?

i have a feeling it might be my sound card cuz i was looking through my sound card program when it started happening but everything is the way it was when i got the comp so i dunno
