Ok so recently I've been REALLY bored. Played through all the Half Lifes (1 through Episode 2). Then I got to thinking and installed Halo 1 for a bit so I could complete that Story Line. There it hit me. The little "Aliens" in Halo that infect the soldiers in Halo are Head Crabs from Half Life...
Now I know most have made this connect before (I just never thought of it). However once those Alien thingies infect someone it is just like a Zombie with a Headhumper on it from the Half Lifes. Even the position of the Alien spore is the same. Just thought it to be cheeky, and thought I'd share it.

In halo its called Flood.
But i think there is a difference between them.
In Halo they are a virus spreading to kill every living thing while in HL they are aliens from another dimension
i love the part in halo1 when master-chief watches the video from the dead soldier n reloads his AR followed by the flood attacking you from all directions.
Good old times 
im about to play halo1 again lol,just let me finish this week(mid-terms week  ) |

i mean i like going around n pistol noobs to death.
Im not saying i still love it as a game cos it gets kinda boring after a while but its still one of the best online games in circulation.

I don't pay for Xbox Live. I don't feel I should have to pay a fee to play console games online when I'm already purchasing the damn things for 60 bucks apiece. I've heard both sides of the argument, that Microsoft has to recoup the hosting costs, but ffs, like MS isn't getting enough royalties from the game and console sales already. So I just have the free Xbox Live Silver.
The only time I ever play it is when someone comes over and we play co-op story mode or local multiplayer. Online multiplayer on consoles is just boring. It's not a question of suck or not, it's just plaing boring. |

why doesn't Sony charge for PSN, but Microsoft charges for Xbox Live when you don't even play on dedicated servers

local multi is the shit, and what is it $60 a year? i dont know why the duck we have to pay to play online(we do get a lot of features tho, right now i have last.fm on teh box) but i dont care, try your best to earn $5 a month and you should be good lol

I don't purchase Xbox Live Gold on pure stubborn principle. That's it. I'm already paying 60 bucks for the god damn games as new. I'm not paying extra for the damn XBL, which are almost pure profit with very little value.
You have to have a gold account to access Netflix. Guess what? PS3 has netflix support and doesn't charge a monthly fee to access it. PS3 has the same damn features as XBL, but doesn't cost monthly. If I had a PS3 (which I don't) I would play console games online. I only have my 360 because i got it + 4 controllers + 3 games from a friend for $200, and the thing is brand friggin new, freshly replaced from microsoft due to RROD.
XBL subscriptions are dumb. I refuse to buy out of principle, not out of lack of money. |
