Woman, you are wrong on 3 counts. 1. Everyone - and by everyone I mean 99.9% of the people who play Rakion except you - knows how riled up this trashy community can get, I mean, who hasn't heard of Rakion drama? The game is famous for it (no longer it's PvP gameplay) 2. This is not a dead horse (yet). 3. The logic isn't flawed here unless you state your reasoning behind this accusation. 4. Not bothered by it. Though, I don't find it clever to tell me I'm wrong when you're just putting forth your opinion over my comments. I have no problems with you, Falcon. It's seldom I talk to you anyway.
1) Rakion drama: A big whomping of fail; I've been caught in it several times in this so-called "community." Besides that, this here is drama. Do you not see the arguments arising from nothing? It's inevitable people argue, but lately, I've seen here, it's just circular, you get no where. I know what Rakion drama is. I know what it is and I've seen it. And yes, I understand people wasted over $2000 on this game, to get their glassy enchants, their amazing stats, which is what made me think, I felt bad because it IS their money, and I'm cheating my way through it - so I'm sorry. But I realize, either you're abusing the game (which I apologize that I did, not much else I can do about it), or make your character playable. Not much else to say, I apologized thoroughly and ceased from all hack usage.
2) Well, the conversations I've seen, they're just kicking at it; it'll die soon enough if it doesn't get anywhere.
3) The logic? The simple: fighting hacks with hacks. It's flawed. It's the eye for an eye business; injustice vs injustice. Of course, most don't think of it that way, you're helping the community by catching hackers, but it's not legal, therefore, shouldn't be used? It's "morally" wrong, if you want to view it like that. Both are doing it, so they're both guilty; whether or not they're using it for a good purpose.
Reply mentioned above, GM's would have turned me in a long time ago, if that was the case. o_o |

Rules are created to maintain the wellbeing of those following them
Therefore, when a rule is not maintaining the wellbeing of those following them, in one way or another, that rule is obsolete.
Many 3rd party programs are detrimental to gameplay, causing unfair advantages, ruining the game for others, etc. Hence why they are not allowed.
But if there is a 3rd party program that is not this way, it is erroraneously categorized as a bad thing by this blanket statement of a rule. The rules can't be changed however because it would end up needing a lot of gray area, which you can't have when you need to fire off bans effectively. It's simply not good for enforcement.
But that doesn't mean the 3rd party program that isn't bad will be enforced.
Many laws and rules are like this in real life. Whether it be completely unenforced, or only enforced in circumstances where it is necessary. Look at underage drinking, smoking pot, traffic laws, all sorts of things.
People who follow rules blindly forget the point of having rules.
If the rules are not sufficiently creating a good environment, you change them. Those who say are otherwise, DIRECTLY support SLAVERY (lol...)
EDIT: ummm... ceased from hack usage eh? You know people still have this program....

I understand this "hack" is used to pretty much control the "wrongful" hacks; a poor man's way of explaining the obvious, I know.
I'm just making this point self-evident; the extremity of the hacks are quite different, which is why I'm more lenient to say that the hacks you guys are involved in (or whomever) aren't so detrimental as a stat hack or a stage hack. But it's still an illegal enforcement of rules.
- Well, I did, even if it was illegal enforcement, it made me stop. Everyone else, that's none of my business; if they get caught, that's their responsibility, they can handle the consequences accordingly. I'm done with that nonsense. |

This is rather interesting. I dislike the idea of using hacks even if it's only to counter another hacker. Due to that I would never use the program. However, if people are going to hack one way or another, it might as well be in a way that helps remove the unpleasant elements of the game and perhaps provide for more of the competitive fun the game once held.
