my college doesn't provide the cable for us, but it allows Time Warner cable to provide us cable. There are cable hookups in every dorm we just have to purchase cable through Time Warner, and since Time Warner provides cable internet as well, many choose to get the cable + cable internet package instead of using the campus internet.
