Minizing the most amount of lag possible please...

so what all can i close to make rakion run faster since my internet sucks. its only 1.5mbdl and 200 or 300 mbupload. my internet sucks so bad i can usually play 6v6 with no cells or 4v4 with cells. but if there is anything i can do to down my lag and ms in rakion i would like to know. i already opened my ports what else can i do. i dont ever have any browsers open or msn or aim running. just my avg and adaware running and thats it. im usually running on my desktop which is made with

amd 64bit 3700+
2 nvidia geforce 7600+ sli out
1 gig of patriot performance ram (i ment to get another one so i could have 2 gigs running together to share the memory usage, but i ran out of money before moving out.)
with an asus 939 motherboard
160gig seagate hdd sata. at 7500rpm.

this computer is about 2 years old but im still proud of it because it runs all my other games pretty good.

what kind of lag?

i dont think youll see much fps lag with your comp but i wouldnt be surprised if your ms lagged in big games with your really slow upload bandwidth thru your ISP. But i dunno what the lowest possible upload speed someone can have and not have lag problems.

Did you open tcpip connections?

if you mean by opening my ports. yes. unless that is something else. i dont get much fps lag ever. but my internet lag is the deal.

you can try port triggering, it basically gives those ports priority over the rest of your connection

you should also consider looking into hacked firmware for your router, you can often times get some wonderful additional options. For instance, I use some hacked firmware that allows me to prioritize ports used by video games over other things so I can actually torrent while I played rakion, and if the connection can't handle it, it'll take away from torrenting and not rakion. Leaving me lagless Smile

although I still sometimes lag for no good reason cuz my isp is lame. Sad
