we could have a 1 week waiting period to add players, like we had in season 3+, and they can have as many as they want, BUT they have to be on the roster before hand. That would prevent clan hopping by giving them a wait period, which would be troublesome.

well, if you get enough of the people on here, that might work. But first and foremost, you need to instil a desire to prove that in the people.
For example, most people now are just content with saying "we're the best no matter what you say because we say we're the best"
If you ever have a system set up with different matches that would actually work, make it a spam in game that challenges people. Most people don't like to have thier pride assaulted

But in the end, when they lose, they will blame the league, that it is rigged, that the other team is hacking, than they cheated, that we are lovable, and then kick us from their games. (wow this sounds familiar.... I just can't figure out... why.....)

Well half the reason the league started was because of IcE. So all we need to do is bring back an elite legendary clan, juggle the crap out of all the other clans, and then say we're joining a really cool Rakion league.

Because people suck at life and cannot accept defeat.
They all need to just roll over and die. Or hvae better clan leaders.
What about the moderator idea?

my question is how to get people to accept the match system
open system with a play-as-much-as-you want makes people not want to play because really active clans win by just playing a lot
a preset match system doesnt work either because 3/4ths of the clans cant handle scheduling and playing their matches on time
so...
would people play their matches if i gave them 1 month to complete 1-3 league matches with all the other participants? it would be a lot easier to handle penalty points for unplayed matches I guess...

That could work...but you still have the scheduling problem. Maybe organize a quick league around christmas time (vacations) and over the summer? only 2 a year, with some other just putz around competition of like 1v1 or something during the semester times?

the league's always dead by those vacation times.

i think deadlines spur people on more. it allows them to scout and stuff, and it forces them to be proactive. and like i said, if a clan is allowed to use their whole roster, it should be a lot easier to schedule and compromise.

but due to the maturity of the players right now, who is willing to scout ahead and all? (+ the fact that a bunch of new rules will have to be added, that involved the elemental armor and weapons.. and maybe go over should potions be allowed argument again.
