Just curious as to why BTDna.exe is in the Rakion folder with fresh install.
I keep torrent closed when gaming, so I don't like a program in the Rakion folder eating up bandwidth I'd rather use for the servers I run.
Piece of shit opens up countless exe files and uses up bandwidth like it was important. If it does anything for Rakion, it's not a good thing.
Anyway..
Add below to your HOSTS file (c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/HOSTS)
61.74.68.183 patch.gunbound-latino.net
61.74.68.185 fetch.gunbound-latino.net
61.74.68.183 patch.gunbound.net
61.74.68.179 fetch.gunbound.net
One of a few solutions to the launcher not downloading patches.. |

I was wondering about that too...a couple of days ago my firewall asked me about that exe and asked if I could grant it access to the internet o.o
I didn't know what it was so i just blocked it and rakion still runs normal to me  |

would this cause rakion to lag more because since the new patch i get random spikes for no reason. really starting to piss me off!

Well, with quad core 4 gigs and dual 8800 it still makes me glitch.
Hard drive is spinning for it, and I have 6 raptors tied together in striped raid
ive run my own vent and web server and stuff for ages, soon as btdna started doing its thing I started to get lag once in awhile.
doesnt seem to run all the time so I don't know what to think of it
when you deleted the dna folder and tried launcher, did you add the entries to the hosts file? |
