|
|
I'm a beginner. I was reading this at Bunge Holes web site at character info link:
Character Stats
*note* Stat gains are halved from 51 to 80, and quartered from 81 to 100.
*note2* The maximum amount for each stat is equal to +110 stat points.
This text is not ment for beginners to understand. But I can see the value of this text to be very important knowledge for my plans of building my character. If someone could simplify this text for me, would be appreciated. Thank you. |

bonuses in the typical stat are +1 when you put a point into, like basic.
After you put 50 points into it though, the bonus is diminished, (technically my site is slightly off too, its actualyl down to .47)
But, when adding the 51st point, to the 80th point, you will only receive +.47
So, in attack stats and CD, you will gain .47 of that stat with 1 more point.
Armor and energy, +.94, move, attack speed, and CP will vary slightly depending on your class, but whatever the typical bonus is times .47
After the 80th point, one more point adds ~.25 of a bonus (I havent checked myself, but I THINK it would actually be about .22)
So, your 89th point into basic will add around .25 more basic.
The second note refers to the total maximum you can reach, everything considered.
For example, a blacksmiths base energy is 180, 1 stat point adds 2 to energy, so 110 stat points is the max, * the bonus for 1 point (which is 2) is 220, add the base of 180, and you have 400 energy. This is the maximum amount of energy a blacksmith can have regardless of whether or not your equipment can push you beyond that.
Same applies to every stat (well, I assume so, I havent tested it on anything other than armor, energy, attack speed, and move speed)
So, max mage move speed is 8.92, 6.5(base move) + (.022 * 110)
bla bla
clarify it at all? _________________ Aude Sapere

Absolutly! Was a big help. Even tho I got a bit lost on that (110*2=220)+180=400 for a while.
I will also take that advice about being a multi skilled character.
Actually, I got a following question, if the blacksmith gets his hp to 400. Then all his bought equipment which would add more hp is useless (more or less). So I guess there must be some recomendations about how far it is advice to build on one stat when you still can reach max with the help of equipment. |

Well you never have to worry about capping an attack stat, and you will probably never have to worry about capping any other stat either, there simply isn't enough equip that adds that many points. The only concern you could have is maxing armor or energy, but without toting at least red ice equip, 80+ stats in armor/energy, and good enchants, you probably won't have to think about it. And even then, you'd probably need to toss on neocross or omu to cap one of them.
The fact that the bonuses are severely diminished after 80 points is far more critical than the fact that you can max stats at +110. _________________ Aude Sapere

| For a strange reason, when I restatted to archer (again) I put 100 points in range, and after 80 I still recieved .47 per point. I'll check my range w/o equips IF rakion gets back online later to see if its true =0 |

I got close to capping special for my smith, back when it was 50/50
And for special, since skull necklace + promise rings give them a +13 in the beginning without refines (and also the +9 from frozen beryl weapons) I think it does have a possibility of capping it. _________________
