Well, for those going to school especially college, and is an avid gamer (may include anime), how do you guys balance between playing and still staying on top, but also able to get A's or B's in your classes, and still attend all classes. Please don't have retarded spam or speculations, this is for those who are in that position, cause I just failed my Intro to Computer Engineering Class with flying colors......
Cause I don't see how some people can play like 12+ hours a day, have class, have a job, and a girl/boyfriend to worry about, all that being able to fit in like 24 hours, it's like they don't sleep, and I need at least 5-6 hours of sleep or else I sleep in class, making my trip there totally pointless/ _________________

it depends, some people are just naturally better in academic cicumstances, like myself i truthfully do no work outside of school at all and i always get A's and B's but i know people who have to spend all their evenings studying for exams and they will get just as good grades as me, sometimes worse.
it really depends, if you are natuarally academic or not, if not study more xD _________________

Well, here is the thing, I never had ever had to ever sit down for hours to study, in fact when I do that, I seem to forget more than to learn. Also, when I listen to the lectures, I usually instantaneously. However, since most lectures, attendance isn't taken, I just seem to slack off from going to classes. _________________

Sit up front. The proffessor notices it, and usually it'll boost your grade a bit if they notice you are there alot. _________________

I agree with Shelby. Sit closer to the board, it helps you learn easier cause you're paying attention, and whatnot.
I can balance gaming and schoolwork so easily, I usually finish homework and stuff related to academics at any minute of free time that I have or at home. And then I usually do some normal stuff and game when I have the time.
Plus, I work better under stress and pressure, so yeah. It's different for every person, but all I can tell you is that you're going to have to develop a way yourself cause we're all different when we learned. |

First off, you need to know how to plan out your day. Know what you have for homework, and estimate how long it would take for each assignment. Once you know which ones going to take you the longest, do the shorter assignments on your spare time, lunch. Then when you get home finish the shorter homework and look over the long ones. After that begin to decide if you would want to do your homework, or play a bit then start. I would say do some before you play and finish the rest after a playing for a bit. _________________

I am still in high school, and it is probably a lot easier.
Another reason to sit close to the front is to get a better view of the board and to hear every thing that he says. Absorb the important facts and listen for the little facts that might be put on tests as extra credit. I do all my work in study hall, and it is just too easy XD.
Oh and get a friend to be your rival. That helps also. _________________

Never studied, never did home work, only aced my tests rest of my school life was spent welding or using the forge something worthy of my time and I still passed all my classes with a B or A. Then again when I was in school it was a different story than what it is now. Like I spent half a school year making a full sized claymore You probably can't even make a pair of scissors in school now-a-days.
But my day goes like this: wake up, shower, work, get home, spend time with the misses before she goes to work, Rakion till I think I've spent too much time there, check shit around the home, watch TV, sleep; repeat. _________________

Yeah, there really is no set system as to how to do it. If you work well under pressure, then start a little bit early, and hten wait until the night before it's due to do the rest of it. I know thats what I do, if I have work due for a 9am class, I just get up at 6 or and BS something in an hour, but if you need to take time to do it, then start it before gaming.
And finding a rival is good. I have a rival in my history classes, Her grades always are like 1 pt better than mine, but the goal of beating her on just one assignment always makes me want to work harder for that class _________________

Juggling these activities is a gift, I get good grades and all but I spend most of my time at home, never having time to go out while my brother somehow managed to juggle a part time job, a girlfriend, constantly going out clubbing and still managed to get himself a full scholarship to do medicine in Australia though I've never seen him touch a book.
I guess it's just something you're born with like o O _________________

Of course, I hand made it forged out of hot rolled steel, hardened and tempered it then filed a beautiful edge on it, leather around the hilt, I made it with a fuller, the tang/hilt/guard/pommel are all one piece. I also made a double sided battle ax out of cold rolled steel. A few knifes one is a half moon I use for gutting/skinning and some solid steel arrows for my recurve bow and a couple for my cross bow. _________________

i need to try harder in balancing these things. i almost failed biology because i was sleeping past my class time. (>.<) college classes for the record. i think less rakion and more studying is the key. i did really well in my american lit class when i had someone to talk to and study with. passed with B+ didnt get an A because the tests we so effin hard. but my essays and projects wooped ass and got me good grades. so more studying? more life helps the studying and less games. thats the goal. _________________ A closed mind is easy to break, an open mind is unstoppable…
