So first off, as many of you know, I work as a computer lab attendant in a dorm building here at temple university, since I no longer live in the same building, my ID alone won't get me into here. However since I do work here, I obviously have to be let in, so usually the security guards don't give me any trouble and just let me in, and at most they'll just take my ID to hold during my shift, and I pick it up afterwards.
So I worked 12-5 yesterday, picked up my ID and went home... bla bla bla
anyway, wake up today, go to check how many meals I have left and I notice my ID was used 6 times at the vending machines in the building I work at, all 6 were made between 3:32 and 3:36....
the security guards used my ID to buy $8 worth of snacks from the vending machines...
pieces of shit...
why is it I can't even trust the security guards with my ID? its bullshit!
Guess we'll see what happens... the security guards on duty today gave me the number to their main office when I told them the story, so I'll give them a call tomorrow and demand my reparations....
Anyway, after being quite pissed about that (It's the latest nuisance on the long list of i-got-fucked-by-temple-u) I figured I'd just cool down and play some Rakion, gotta get to 85!
So I play a few games, was talkin' on vent with curtis (happy day-after 21st bday curtis! grats for no hangover) and then rakion freezes... but I can still talk on vent
w/e oh well rakion freezes or crashes like... once an hour.... nothing new.
So I went to turn my computer off, but instead of turning off, it like.... restarted O.o but the initial screens never came up and nothing ever loaded, it just like.... kept restarting itself every 5-10 seconds without anything happening. I couldn't turn it off either, I hit the button and it would just like... restart itself.
So...
my laptop won't start up, nor will it turn off.
WTF!
It's stuck inbetween on and off...
seriously wtf, of the long list of problems I've had with alienware, now the laptop is stuck in limbo? wtf! alienware needs to burn in hell and I'd love to hit the switch to do it!
So I thought... w/e mebe if I clear the CMOS it'll be fine, so I let it pretend to be starting up for a while until the battery dies, (of course leaving it unplugged) and it finally turns off, yay, progress, at least I can get it to submit to something.
Let it sit dead for a while, assuming it'll go back to factory defaults (not like I was running on anything other than that but w/e...) got some food, mmm tasty feces from the handy dandy student center, came back, plugged it in, and it jumped right back into limbo.
So basically,
My laptop is stuck between on and off, and is ultimately unuseable, finals start next week(tuesday for me), so I have projects and essays needing to be worked on and turned in, but of course, they're on my laptop.
Thank you alienware, you've been screwing me since I bought this piece of shit. Grats to the world's worst computer company wielding the world's worst customer support.
oh, customer support... while I'm at it, duck you paypal, duck you paynova, but that's a whole different issue.
Anyway, needed to vent, sitting here listening to a 1980s printer print 30 pages wasn't qute cutting it for me. _________________ Aude Sapere

music, can and will do
walking around at night, well... I guess it can be amusing to fend off crackheads... but if you do it at that magical time between when the people who stay up late already went to sleep and the people who are awake early havent gotten up yet (usually around 4am) then it's nice.
and orphanns...
well, the thought of alienware makes me want to poke orphans' eyes out and throw them into a high-walled tub of molasses and watch them as they helplessly struggle against their inevitable doom.
In regards to the security guard thing, one of them came down here to ask some information about it from me, I gave her a print out of the history that shows what happened and when, so they're helping
Surprisingly I've never had any problems with the security guards here before, theyre not even rude or anything... I can't imagine what could have happened, but they're still responsible regardless. _________________ Aude Sapere

Metal is nice, unless you're weird. |

Sorry I killed RL for a few min... I was trying to fix that auto-login thing, screwed up, and then a police officer came in to help me file the report so I was talking to him for a while before I could fix it I know how terrible it must have been for those of you who couldn't login for 5 minutes or so. _________________ Aude Sapere

Sigh, i'm having the same problem with my laptop.
All my biology and chemistry notes are on my laptop (I own a macbook pro.) The computer is brand new, I got it in September. In the middle of my lecture, my laptop refuses to open any programs and i'm forced to let my battery drain.
I called customer support. With this being my first time owning a mac, the "mac genius" is extremely impatient, and the assistance he provides me make the problem even worse. (He told me to reinstall OSX again)
At this point I can open programs, but there is at least a 15 minutes in lag time. Whenever I scroll down in a webpage or my notes, it stops half way and I have to stare at a rainbow coloured beach ball for 15 minutes.
So now I am writing this message, WHILE I STARE AT THIS BEACHBALL, as my files are taking 2 hours to transfer to my main desktop.
Zut Alors. |

Try hitting it Jowy. If that doesnt work, take the battery out and use the charger as the power supple. _________________

Oh Oh!!
Run around in circles [around the fat man] with a box of donuts and go CANT CATCH ME! CANT CATCH ME! When he faints from the spinning, sit on him and eat the donuts. _________________ shogun of sorrow |
