Not sure if someone has posted this before but i can't be bothered to search the whole forum or use the search button Razz

What is the list of maps which will be used for the random picks?

Because Eight Arenas would be a crap map for a clan war since if a archer or a mage is alone with a ninja or any other then they will be dead already.

And... Icefield, that map lags for some peoplesince i see loads of people fps lagging in icefield due to all the details of the map (eg. the ice/sliding).

it is every golem game map out there, which is randomly chosen by jowy's calculator (just like the divisions) . Yes we know that 8 arena puts mages + archers in a bad situation, but we left it in there since it shows how well clan members can communicate with each other and how they can locate each other to support each other. In other words, take advantage of the 5 seconds at the beginning of each round where no one can hurt each other.

as for icefield.. I don't remember the last time we used this map.. except during season 2, but if it was removed or not, then yea

8 arenas will be included, considering class isn't really relevant for whether or not the map should be used. While it may be true that archers and mages could have a disadvantage, every team has the opportunity to use other classes, the maps aren't exactly a surprise. This is also on top of what Asianese said about communication.
8 Arenas is different, and for that reason it's important we don't disclude it. It forces teams to pay more attention to strategy and how maps affect it. The map itself won't give a strict disadvantage to just one of the teams.

Icefield... I've heard a few people complain about it before, but it's never become a significant enough issue to remove the map. If you're one of the people who experiences an fps hit from that map... you should try lowering your textures/resolution because the lag hit is too minor to consider removing the map. Particularly since the map isn't very popular.

In general, I don't like to limit the maps people could use, because as it is there really aren't that many and matches get dull and practically automated if we don't see a good variation of maps.
