Psychological Movies

Instead of serious topics/flaming let's have a normal discussion like a board should have =P

So yeah, this is by far my favourite genre of movies, psychological thrillers are usually about the the human mind's behavior, it's limitations all circling around a complex plot.

These are the ones I've watched so far, if you have any good ones to add be my guest
Note : These aren't all in English, plot/explanations are not copy-pasta, written by me and is my opinion, also, no particular order.

The Butterfly Effect
This one is a little cheesy but it involves the chaos theory(commonly known as the butterfly effect) where a single change in the past, something as insignificant as a butterfly flapping it's wings can cause a catastrophic event in the future. Story circles around a boy which is constantly having blackouts due to pain, he documents all his blackouts in a diary that he keeps, later in the future when the blackout stops and he re-reads his diary he is able to 're-live' moments when he blacked out, he tries to change thing for the better but things start to change in the future etc etc..
Not the best, 6/10

The Machinist (English Language-Spanish)
About an industrial machinist that is extremely skinny and gaunt-looking, this causes his co-wokers to keep their distance from him, this eventually turns into hate when he gets involved in an accident that cost another workers his left arm, he says that he was distracted by another worker, however this worker has no records of being an employee, he soon starts to see weird images and things appear menacing to him, Post-it notes start tacking up everywhere that seem to be some game of hang-man, the plot on this is big and I won't elaborate too much, but this is one of the more kickass movies.
Good 8/10

Old Boy(Korean)
Based off an old Japanese manga, Old Boy is about a seemingly normal Korean business man named Oh-Daesu, one day he is taken in by the police for being rowdy while drunk, his friend bails him out and they go to a pay phone, he calls his daughter and wishes her happy birthday, his friend asks to speak on the phone and Oh-Daesu waits outside, when his friend is done, Oh-Daesu is gone, he wakes up in a room that has a metal door and a food tray, food is pushed through a flap for him and there's a TV in his room, but nobody speaks to him, he sees no humans, he finds out that he is framed for the murder of his wife and his daughter is adopted, they gas him if he shows signs of being suicidal or if they want to manage the room/cut his hair, he is fed dumpling everday, and they keep him there for 15 years, after 15 years, they let him go without a word, looking for revenge, the plot develops from there involving his school days (the students were called 'The Evergreen Old Boys', thus the name) involving another student and his sister who committed suicide due to him revealing their incestuous act a day before he transferred to another school not knowing the damage he caused.
Most kickass movie ever 9.7/10(Nothing's perfect)

The Jacket
A man returns to his hometown after the war and suffers from amnesia due to a wound in his head, he is later framed for the murder of a police officer and is sent to a mental institution. The warden there does experiments with the patients and he is pumped with an experimental drug, put in a straight jacket and left in a morgue drawer for days. While in the drawer he sees things in the future and at some point sees his death in the drawer 4 days later, this leads to a series of events.
Awesome 7/10

Well, these are better movies I've watched, I cbf to write summore so I'm hoping for some recommendations =P

The Butterfly Effect ftw! I heard that movie pwned.
Nice taste Robina, I personally enjoy comedy/action/thriller.

Where would I be able to see Old Boy? So I just go to Blockbuster and rent it out?

Old boy is just plain foocked up =/ though it's theme is powerful but still ;S I wouldn't recommending watching it if you are 16 or younger...

thats kind of ironic that you posted Old Boy. a friend of mine from class had actually told me about that movie about 2 weeks ago. i just havent had the time go and rent it.

Also, if you haven't watched Old Boy, watch it now > > It's kickass although the plot is a little crazy it isn't too far-fetched.

Good movie taak but god DAM its violent ><
When he broke his leg i had to watch it liek 3 times to be sure lmao
God I love this movie but its so bloody and it sent shivers down my spine while i was watching the part in the pool place. It was just so brutal, dude is crazy violent.
